132nd Annual Veiled Prophet Parade

The 132nd Annual Veiled Prophet Parade begins at Washington Avenue and Fourth Street in downtown St. Louis, concluding at St. Louis Union Station at Market and 20th Streets. The parade theme is “Everybody Needs A Vacation” and features giant helium balloons, elaborate custom-built floats, marching bands and more. Fredbrid, the beloved mascot of the St. Louis Cardinals will serve as the Honorary Grand Marshal.

Celebrate St. Louis’ French heritage with the ceremonial beheading of King Louis and Marie Antoinette. The walking street parade beings at 6:45 p.m. with marching crewes and royalty, led by "Joia" percussion ensemble, storming the streets and gathering the mob for the mock beheading of the King and Queen at Soulard Market Park. The festival continues Saturday, July 11 with a flea market and street fair featuring an art show, live music, street mines, jugglers and lots of fun.
