St. Louis won the group in competition with San Antonio and Pittsburgh. The Family Career and Community Leaders of America also has chosen St. Louis for a future meeting. The group will bring 3,000 members to St. Louis in mid-November 2010. Attendees will use more than 2,200 hotel room nights and will spend $2.4 million in the St. Louis economy during their stay. St. Louis won the Reston, Virginia-based group over competing bids from Minneapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Cincinnati and Des Moines.
