THE EDWARD JONES DOME SERVES UP A CLEAR PICTURE

Sony Jumbotron And White Way Matrix Scoreboard Fact Sheet

When fans come to the Edward Jones Dome at America's Center for Rams football and a wide variety of other events, they'll be able to keep up with field action by viewing the Dome's state-of-the-art video and scoreboard system.

The Sony JumboTron

The Sony JumboTron System represents the leading technology in Large Screen Video Display systems.

The two Sony JumboTrons at the Edward Jones Dome stand 20 feet high and 26 feet wide - a total of 497 square feet. One is located at the North End Zone, the other at the South End Zone.

Weight of a single Sony JumboTron, excluding the frame, is 10,800 pounds.

The system consumes a maximum of 62,330 watts of electricity. The average consumption is 41,555.

When powered up, the system uses 4,704 Trini-lite cells, each red, green and blue, and 37,632 pixels for a crisp, clear, defined picture.

The Dome contains nine hard-wired camera points from which video photographers can capture action on the field.

Similar systems are used at the Anaheim Stadium, Candlestick Park, Camden Yards, Three Rivers Stadium, Rich Stadium, Jacksonville, and Cleveland's Jacobs Field.

The Sony JumboTron screen is the brightest screen available in the industry. A typical non-Sony screen has a brightness of 4,000 nit (metric unit to indicate the average surface brightness in a given area of a light source) or less while the JumboTron offers a brightness level of 5,000 nit.

White Way Sideline and End Zone Display System

This system includes two single-face sideline displays. Each display will consist of eight interior illuminated ad panels, four message center displays, one analog clock, one game timer and one period indicator.

There are two single-faced end zone displays consisting of two interior illuminated ad panels, one illuminated Tri-Vision panel, one video replay board, and one monochrome message center display.
