Missouri Valley Conference
DESCRIPTION: The Missouri Valley Conference is an intercollegiate athletic association comprised of 10 Midwestern universities including Southern Illinois University, Illinois State University and Southwest Missouri State University. Sports played in the association include baseball, men and women's basketball, golf, men and women's soccer, softball, swimming/diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball and football. Some of the association's tournaments, including "Arch Madness," its men's basketball tournament sponsored by State Farm Insurance in March is held in St. Louis.
ADDRESS: The Conference's offices are at 1818 Chouteau, St. Louis, MO 63103. Several of the conference's tournaments are held each year at the Scottrade Center, 1401 Clark Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63102.

ADMISSION: Admission prices vary. Most are $8-20 depending on the location of the seat and the nature of the event.
ANNUAL ATTENDANCE: No total attendance figures are available but 45,346 attended the 1999 championship basketball tournament at Scottrade Center.
WHAT'S NEW: The Missouri Valley Conference is the host body for NCAA events in St. Louis including the national Women's Final Four basketball championship which was held at Scottrade Center in 2001, the NCAA Wrestling Championships held in St. Louis in 2000 and scheduled again for 2004 and 2005, and the NCAA men's first and second round tournaments leading up to the Men's Final Four basketball championship to be held in The Edward Jones Dome in 2005.
HIGHLIGHTS: The winner of men's Arch Madness basketball tournament held in St. Louis each March receives an automatic NCAAA bid.
ANNUAL SPECIAL EVENTS: Each March, Arch Madness, the conference's men's championship basketball tournament, is played in St. Louis.
