On the night of July 21, 2006, a water main break occurred in front of the St. Louis Science Center. A woman drove into the flood and the rising water on Oakland Avenue quickly consumed her car. Nathniel did not hesitate to jump into the flood waters risking his own life to save another human being. He made it to the car and did not find a driver inside. Fortunately, she had gotten out of her car unharmed before Nathniel went in waist deep to save her. This one act is a demonstration of Nathniel’s kindness and heroism.
